St. Petersburg, FL – Today, Advanced Training Systems (ATS) and FASTPORT announced a strategic alliance to bring Marines the TransMaster Simulator that provides hands-on approach to understanding what it takes to become a professional truck driver. This interactive education will take place at the Camp Pendleton Transportation Forum and Hiring Event sponsored by FASTPORT.
“ATS is working to teach the next generation of professional truck drivers about the safety, standards, and practices of the trucking industry,” said Rebecca Hudson, Vice President of Marketing at ATS. “By focusing on the military population that already has many of the skills professional truck drivers need, such as prioritizing safety and problem-solving, we can rapidly achieve that goal.”
As a dominant design and manufacturing company, ATS utilizes their technology and industry experience to develop the future of virtual simulation. At Camp Pendleton, Marines will experience true-to-life reproductions of driving conditions that they may face as professional truck drivers. Similar to a sit-down video game, users get an immersive experience where they will maneuver virtual vehicles through rain, sleet, sun, and snow at a moment’s notice.
FASTPORT President Brad Bentley said, “ATS leadership is passionate about helping our Veteran community develop professional truck driving skills. We are proud to partner with this industry leader to bring the TransMaster Simulator to the Camp Pendleton Hiring Fair and help inspire Marines and Veterans to begin their civilian career in professional driving roles.”
